🚨 𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 – 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝗺𝗴
We have been advised of a medication alert affecting a batch of 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝗺𝗴 tablets, manufactured by 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗫 𝗟𝘁𝗱.
Sertraline is used to treat depression, anxiety disorders and related mental health conditions.
The affected batch number is: 𝗩𝟮𝟱𝟬𝟬𝟰𝟮𝟱
The issue is that some packs of 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝗺𝗴 tablets may contain blister strips of 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝟰𝟬𝗺𝗴 tablets. This batch is being recalled as a precautionary measure.
Patients who have been prescribed 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝗺𝗴 are asked to check their medication as soon as possible.
Please check the batch number, which is stamped on the outside of the carton. If your carton shows batch number 𝗩𝟮𝟱𝟬𝟬𝟰𝟮𝟱, please then check that the blister strips inside the carton are labelled 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝗺𝗴.
𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝗺𝗴:
No further action is needed.
𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝟰𝟬𝗺𝗴:
Please contact the pharmacy that dispensed the medication to you in the first instance, and return all remaining tablets to that pharmacy.
If you have accidentally taken Citalopram instead of Sertraline, your body may not be accustomed to it and you may experience side effects such as nausea, headache, sleep changes or mild anxiety.

🚨 𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 – 𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗟 🚨

We have been advised of an issue affecting some patients prescribed Ramipril capsules (used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure and kidney disease).

⚠️ What’s the issue?
A batch produced by Crescent Pharma Ltd may contain a mix of Ramipril 5mg and 10mg capsules in the same packaging.

⚠️ Who is affected?
Patients prescribed Ramipril 10mg capsules.
The affected batch number is: GR174091

👉 What you should do:
• Check your medication if you are prescribed Ramipril 10mg
• Look for the batch number GR174091 on the outer carton
• Check that all strips inside are clearly labelled 10mg

If you find any strips labelled 5mg:
Please return the medication immediately to the pharmacy that dispensed it to you.

GP practices will be closed for four days at Christmas (25-28 December) and four days at New Year (1-4 January).

Make sure you have common medicines such as paracetamol (including liquid paracetamol for children), ibuprofen, cold and flu remedies, antihistamines and medicine for stomach bugs, as well as first aid kit supplies like plasters, bandages and antiseptic wipes/creams.

Your pharmacist can advise on the best medications to have in your medicine cabinet.
