❗ Did you know? Break Time registrations are still open for 2026/27 membership!

🤩 Break Time activities take place after school, on weekends and during school holidays throughout the year. Children and young people aged 4-18 who have a special educational need or disability can access fun group activities, while parents and carers have a short break from their caring role.

ℹ️ Families that are awarded Break Time membership from 1st October onwards will receive up to 39 hours of activities for the remainder of the current year (up to 31st March 2027).

📆 If your child already has a Break Time membership, you do not need to re-register yet - we will be in touch later in the year when 2027/28 registrations open.

What’s on this week at LPCF? 💙

We’re easing back into the autumn term with our first Family Hub drop-in this Friday in Accrington.

Our drop-ins are friendly, informal spaces where you can ask questions, share concerns, meet other parent carers and chat to people who understand the SEND journey.

There’s no diagnosis needed, no appointment and no pressure — just pop in for a cuppa and a chat. ☕💙

September is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Month, with the specific date of International FASD Day falling on September 9th. The September awareness month and the September 9th day serve as a reminder of the nine months of pregnancy and the importance of avoiding alcohol to prevent FASD, a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition resulting from prenatal alcohol exposure. Lancashire FASD are passionate about supporting local families, raising awareness and helping to promote the prevention of FASD.

Do you love, or work with an autistic person but need more help in supporting them?

We’re commissioned by the NHS to offer free, online coaching sessions through Autism Central.

These sessions are delivered by our trained and supervised peer guides with lived or family experience.

Our sessions offer a safe space to reflect on how to support your autistic loved one's wellbeing, family life and practical guidance, helping you feel heard, connected and navigate services.

Anyone living in England and supporting an autistic person of any age is eligible. Up to 10 sessions can be booked.

🌿 Today is a very special day for us… 🌿

Today marks the official launch of Calm Together at The SEND Den, and we honestly couldn’t be more proud. 🥹💗

What started with a shared passion for supporting families has grown into something really special. By combining our strengths, our ideas, our experiences and, most importantly, our hearts, we’ve created something that we truly believe can make a difference.

Together with these amazing organisations, we feel like we’ve created our own little family — all coming together with one shared purpose: to support parents, listen without judgement and remind people that they never have to feel alone. 🤍

The support behind this project means more to us than we can put into words. Being able to launch Parent Support Workshops for ALL parents, not just SEND parents, is something we feel incredibly passionate about.

Over the coming days, you’ll start to see our first support groups taking shape, with different topics and different ways of accessing support. Whether you feel you need one-to-one support or the connection of a group, we’ll be here to listen, understand and help you find what feels right for you.

This really is just the beginning… ✨

We are so excited for what’s ahead and so proud of what we’ve created by coming together.
