☀️ Preston Hub Session Update ☀️

Good news, our Preston Hub session is still going ahead today from 10:30am to 12:30pm! 🚲

With the warm weather, please remember to:
💧 Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated
🧢 Wear a hat and light clothing where possible
🧴 Apply sunscreen before attending and bring some with you if needed
🌞 Take regular breaks and follow the sun safety advice below

We'll have shade available at the session and encourage everyone to make use of it throughout the morning.

We look forward to seeing you there! 😊🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

☀️ Hot Weather Update for Wheels for All Participants and Supporters ☀️

With weather warnings in place and higher-than-normal temperatures forecast across much of the UK this week, some Wheels for All sessions may be affected to help keep participants, volunteers and staff safe.

If you are planning to attend a session, please keep an eye on your local Wheels for All Hub page, as well as this national page, for the latest updates regarding session times, cancellations or any changes to activities.

If you are attending a session during the warm weather, please remember to:

💧 Bring plenty of water and stay hydrated (consider electrolytes if you sweat a lot or are doing exercise)
🧢 Wear a hat and lightweight clothing
🧴 Apply sunscreen and reapply regularly
🌳 Seek shade where possible and take breaks when needed
🚲 Listen to staff and volunteers, who may adapt activities to suit the conditions

As part of our 35th anniversary celebrations, many Hubs are hosting fundraising activities throughout the week. Please note that some of these activities may need to be postponed if sessions are shortened or cancelled due to the weather.

We are in regular contact with our Hubs and will share updates as soon as we receive them. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure everyone can enjoy inclusive cycling safely.

Stay cool, stay safe, and please continue to check for updates before travelling. 💙🚲

If you're about to leave the house for work, why not hop on your bike as today is Cycle to Work Day! 🚲

Today we're celebrating the many benefits of cycling – whether you're commuting to work, heading to the shops, or simply enjoying the freedom of being on two (or three!) wheels.

As a reminder that, through our partnership with Halfords, adapted cycles are now available through the Halfords Cycle2Work scheme – making it easier than ever for disabled people and those with long-term health conditions to access the right cycle for them. 💙

If your employer is signed up to Halfords Cycle2Work, you could save on the cost of an adapted cycle through salary sacrifice, helping make inclusive cycling more affordable and accessible.
