What NOT to do after a lash lift 👀❌

❌ Don’t use an eyelash curler.
It can bend and mechanically damage lifted lashes, and in some cases may even contribute to breakage.

❌ Avoid waterproof mascara.
The problem isn’t necessarily the mascara itself, but the removal. Waterproof formulas usually require more rubbing and manipulation, which can pull and stress the lashes.

❌ Keep retinol & salicylic acid away from the lash area. (Or any acids/ acne soaps/treatments)
Overuse around the lashes can contribute to dryness, so keep your active skincare away from the lash line.

💦 If your lashes come into contact with chlorine or salt water, rinse them.
Use clean, fresh water from a bottle to remove residues rather than leaving them sitting on the lashes, as repeated exposure can leave them feeling drier and the sun can potentially contribute to bleaching.

✨ Give dry lashes a little extra love.
If needed, a small amount of a suitable lash hydrating serum can help condition the lashes.

😴 Avoid flat sleep masks.
A traditional mask can press directly against your lashes for hours and leave them bent or sitting in strange directions. If you love sleeping with a mask, choose a hollow/contoured style that leaves space around the eyes instead.

The false layer might look like part of the lash line… but it isn’t 👀

During a Korean Lash Lift, removing it (or isolating it) properly is an important part of getting the beautiful and neat results we all think of when Korean Lash Lift comes to mind.

If that layer is left behind, it can make those lashes look overcurled and stand out (in not a good way 😅).

Tiny details, but BIG differences in the final result ✨

Short lashes? Your shield choice matters 👀

We don’t use hybrid shields often, but on the right client they can make a big difference.

For this client, the natural lashes were quite short. A round Seashell shield wouldn’t have showcased their length as much, so we chose a hybrid shield instead.

Because there were no other corrections we needed to make, we brought the lashes to around 80% of the shield height.

The result? A beautiful lift that visually makes those shorter lashes appear much longer ✨

You can fix the shape. You cannot reverse the damage. 👀

This distinction matters in lash lifting.

If lashes have been overprocessed, you may be able to correct an unwanted curl or direction, but you cannot return a chemically damaged lash fibre to its original condition.

Conditioners, oils and treatments can improve how the lashes feel and look, but they don’t rebuild the damaged keratin structure.

That’s why prevention matters more than correction. ✨
Correct timing. Correct product choice. Watch the lashes, not just the clock.
