WHY INCLUDE A BLOOD TEST IN YOUR CONSULTATION

As part of your Lifestyle Screening test, using a 6-lead ECG, I check whether you may be vulnerable to arrythmias or abnormal heart rhythms (high insulin resistance increases future cardiovascular disease by 40-70%). But heart rythym is only part of the picture. I look at your lifestyle susceptibility to heart and muscle issues linked to insulin resistance - a hidden driver of declining performance and long-term health risks.

Why this matters, especially if you train? Insulin resistance doesn't just affect blood sugar, it affects every muscle in your body including your heart and can lead to faster age related muscle loss.

When insulin doesn't do its job properly:
