She’s settled in so well and picked things up incredibly quickly — her warm, friendly energy has already made such a lovely impact on the team and our patients.

We couldn’t let Mia’s final staff meeting (for now) pass without a little celebration 🥂✨

This Wednesday we surprised her with a MediZen baby shower - complete with cupcakes, baby predictions and a little glass of shloer for the team 🍰

Mia will be heading off on maternity leave at the end of June and we are so excited for her. She has been such an incredible part of the MediZen family for many years and we wanted her to know just how loved she is as she steps into this exciting next chapter of her life.

We promised a PRP transformation, and we’re excited to share this result with you.

This patient wanted to address their nasolabial folds, and after an in-depth consultation with Dr Eccleston, she chose our advanced PRP bio-filler treatment. This approach is designed to restore subtle volume, soften the appearance of static lines, and maintain natural facial movement 🙌

Unlike traditional PRP treatments that focus primarily on skin quality, this technique uses platelet-rich plasma in a more structured way to act as a natural bio-filler. By using your body’s own growth factors, it helps support volume whilst also improving overall skin quality.

This makes it a great treatment option for patients who may feel nervous about traditional dermal fillers. It gives you the option to see what results would look like and the risk is much lower due to the treatment using your own biological material.

Let’s talk Glycolic Acid... 🗣️🫧

One of the most talked about ingredients in skincare - but what does it actually do?

Glycolic acid is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that works by gently exfoliating the skin, helping to remove dead skin cells and reveal a brighter, smoother complexion underneath. It can be great for improving texture, dullness, and even the appearance of mild breakouts and pigmentation 🙌

AHA-based products are one of our favourites for improving overall skin quality - especially formulations like the AlumierMD AHA Renewal Serum, which contains glycolic acid alongside other exfoliating acides to help refine and resurface the skin.

But like many active ingredients, it’s not about using it more - it’s about using it correctly. Overuse or incorrect application can lead to irritation, sensitivity, and damage to the skins barrier.
