As we settle into a new academic year, this quote serves as a powerful reminder of the impact that everyday actions can have on future outcomes.

For many families of children and young people with SEND, September can bring a mixture of hope, anticipation and uncertainty. New classes, new routines, new transitions and new challenges can all feel significant, particularly after the long journey many families have already travelled.

What is often unseen is the dedication that takes place behind the scenes (the emails sent late at night, the meetings attended, the time spent researching, the questions asked). It is also the encouragement given on difficult days and the determination to ensure that a child's voice is heard and their needs are understood.

At SEND IASS, we see first hand the commitment shown by families every day. We see the courage it takes to keep moving forward, even when the process feels overwhelming.

As we begin to settle into this new school year, we would like to recognise and thank all the parents, carers, young people and professionals who continue to support children and young people with SEND. ๐Ÿงก
