We are overwhelmingly delighted to share with you that Glen Burley, Chief Executive of the Foundation Group, has been recognised in His Majesty the King's Birthday Honours List. Glen has been awarded the honour of Knighthood for his services to the NHS. Glen reflects on how this honour has been made possible thanks to the people he has worked with throughout his 43-year NHS career.

"Achievements in the NHS are always a team effort. I have had the immense privilege to work alongside some of the greatest people and teams, and this honour recognises all of our hard work and dedication. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me."

From everyone at WAHT - we are incredibly proud to celebrate a brilliant CEO and colleague!

See behind the scenes of a hospital operating theatre.

Every other Friday, our theatres at Kidderminster Hospital provide a dedicated day giving specialist care for children.

Thanks to partnerships with Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, our Elective Paediatric Hub can give patients the treatment they need, in a friendly and specialist environment.

We held a special garden party for patients with dementia and their families yesterday.

The party to mark Dementia Action Week included a performance by talented singer Melissa Hollick, who demonstrated the power of music.

Research shows music can have a huge impact on the brain and be beneficial for people with dementia.

Music's unique ability to prompt emotions and influence mood make it a valuable therapeutic tool.
