Everyone at our Club would like to extend their deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Tony Cosgrave.

Once in a while you are fortunate enough to meet a gentleman of the game and Tony was certainly one of those. A friend to all who knew him, Tony will be sadly missed by the football community, particularly those involved with the AUL.
Tony was a true ambassador to Irish football, his association with the AUL dates back over 40 years, bringing so much to our game in that time.

Our thoughts are with Tony’s wife Carmel, his four children, extended family and friends.

Some of our Group 2 players went to play games against CP United in Partington.
Two fantastic matches. Always great hosts, we appreciate the hospitality

The rest of the Club, a bit short on numbers this morning, allowed John O’ Shea, Paddy McCarthy and Damien Doyle to join us after their session in Abbotstown.

Not for the for the first time this weekend, our own James Bateman providing an excellent finish.
This time speaking at the Heritage Hotel in Laois at an event for people with CP 👏🏻

James spoke really well about the experiences of a young person with CP, about playing for Ireland and of course playing for our Club.

It’s not every day ya play in a competition, beat every team in it, win more matches than everyone else and not win the tournament.
Football is a funny old game.

We fell at the final hurdle and it just wasn’t to be, eventually finishing in 3rd place.

Football is a funny game. It’s brilliant and it’s cruel.
One thing that’s for sure is that this group of players played some of the best football at the competition today (opposition words, not mine)
