3 Things to Check Before Booking Assisted Transport
When you refer a client, patient or resident for assisted transport, you want to know they will be safe, supported and treated with genuine care.
Before recommending a service, it’s worth asking:
1. Do they provide true door-to-door support?
Not just kerb-to-kerb - but assistance from the door, into the vehicle and safely to the destination.
2. Do their drivers really care about their clients?
For many people, the driver is more than a driver. They are a reassuring companion, helping reduce stress for clients, families and support teams.
3. Are they registered with transport subsidy providers such as Total Mobility and ACC?
This can make transport more accessible and affordable for eligible clients.
Freedom Companion Driving Services works alongside health professionals, hospitals, social services, disability and elderly support organisations, retirement villages and families to help people get where they need to go safely and confidently.
