Seasonal illnesses are continuing to keep us busy! Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to care for everyone who needs us. 💙🤧

If you can, please consider using your GP, 💊 local pharmacy, 📞 Healthline, or 💻 Healthify for non-urgent health concerns. This helps keep urgent care appointments available for those who need them most. 🩺

Thank you for your patience, kindness, and understanding while we work through another busy winter week. We really appreciate your support! 💙✨

Are you using your inhaler correctly?

Even small changes in how you use your inhaler can affect how much medicine reaches your lungs. Using your inhaler correctly can help your medicine work better and support better asthma control.

Explore our inhaler device guides here https://healthify.nz/medicines-a-z/i/inhaler-devices/

Or book a free appointment with Asthma New Zealand for support with your asthma, inhaler technique or action plan.

We’re seeing lots of winter bugs and seasonal illnesses at the moment, so wait times may be a little longer than usual. 🤧

Thanks for your patience while our team works hard to care for everyone who comes through our doors. ❤️

If you’re feeling unwell, remember that many common winter illnesses can be managed safely at home, with support from your GP or local pharmacy if needed.

By choosing the right healthcare service for your needs, you’re helping keep urgent care available for those who need it most. 🚑

Thanks for helping us look after our community this winter 🩵🤧

As we head into winter, coughs, colds and other viral illnesses can often trigger asthma symptoms or make existing asthma worse. 🤧🥶

We recommend reviewing the advice from Healthify, making sure your asthma action plan is up to date, and checking in with your primary care provider for a routine asthma review.

If you’re experiencing an acute asthma flare-up, we’re here to help.

If you’re struggling to breathe or your symptoms are severe, call 111 immediately. 🚑

Winter can be a challenging time for whānau living with asthma.

One simple step you can take is to book an appointment with your primary care team to check in on your asthma before winter is in full swing.

Today is World No To***co Day, a day to act as a reminder of the harm caused by to***co and ni****ne use, and the benefits of quitting.

Quitting isn’t easy, but support works, and every attempt counts.

Another long weekend is incoming 🌤️ hopefully we’ll get some sunshine!

A friendly reminder to organise any repeat prescriptions before the weekend begins as pharmacies and GP clinics will have reduced hours over the holiday period.

We’re here for urgent and emergency care throughout the long weekend, however due to increased demand there may be longer wait times than usual.

Planning ahead where you can helps keep urgent appointments available for those who need them most 💙

Another frosty start in Ōtepoti Dunedin this morning ❄️

Please take extra care on the roads, footpaths and driveways as conditions may be icy and slippery.

If you’ve had a slip, trip or fall, our team is here 24/7 to help with walk-in injuries.

We’re also continuing to see very high demand this week, with lots of viral and seasonal illnesses circulating in the community. Many coughs, colds and flu-like illnesses can be safely cared for at home with rest, fluids and symptom relief. 🤧

Please be aware there may be longer waiting times than usual while we care for the most unwell patients first. Thanks for your patience and kindness to our team 💙
