It is with profound sadness that we let whaanau know that our beloved Mum, Nan, Aunty, Sister, Cousin and Whaea, Heeni Janie Grant (nee Roach) wife of the late Barry Alexander Grant, passed away peacefully at her home in Hamilton on Tuesday, 25 August 2026.

Nan is currently at Manaaki Funeral and will return home to Mirumiru Marae, Marokopa, today Wednesday 26 August (time tbc) to lie in state until Saturday. It is

There will be three set poowhiri times on Thursday and Friday:
10:00am
2:00pm
4:00pm

We ask that whaanau arrive well before each poowhiri to allow enough time to cross the river by barge.

Nan’s final day will be Saturday, 29th of August 2026:
9:00am — Poowhiri�11:00am — Service�Burial will follow, with Kai Haakari afterwards.
