From Yoga teacher and well-being lover, to super busy chaotic creative mum: the spectrum is quite large.😅🤭😜 Yoga and meditation are not for those who appear to be calm already, but rather they work as tools to help us get to know ourselves better and find balance when going through the chaos of everyday living. The matrix we are a part of is what it is: the real challenge is whether we wish to learn new ways to navigate it without getting lost in it or not. There is such thing as chaos and organised chaos: so, let get equipped

You don't have to do crunches and suffer to get a strong core! All you need is mindful movements that target all the muscles involved in stabilising your pelvic region and your Thoracic spine ... from all angles! This is a super easy practice that anyone can do! Plus, you get to strengthen the arms and the legs... getting you ready for postures that require you to open up: like pigeon pose, bow pose, the dancer etc etc. isn't that amazing? Forget the old times, " no pain no gain is history!" Luckily! We practice these and many more each week and online one to one sessions are also available... because your deserve to feel more stable and amazing within your own body!

Prioritise your well being: you wont change overnight, but you will surely enjoy the results in the near future. Yoga affects your body in ways that don't show up immediately, your nervous system, your circulation, your physical body and all you are, need time and consistency. Once you get into a regular practice, the changes your body goes through cannot be undone, your breathing, muscles, fascia, hormones and cells will show the effects. If you want to master the squat you need to strengthen and release your lower body/ fascia, also note, body type, injuries, hydration, body structure and daily habits will also affect how long or how deep you can get into this posture. ATTENTION the exercises shared in this reel can be practiced by anyone, except those with serious/ chronic spinal / DISK injuries ( in this case it is best to avoid these exercises at all costs).
So far, this is The best hip opener ever! One thing that shocked me as I travelled around India and China was the length of time and the frequency that people there can hold this posture. One of the greatest gifts we can give our bodies, definitely one of the best lessons from the East. Just pure maintenance really!

The fastest way to lift your spirits is being out in nature. Now we are entering springtime, there is not better time to enjoy feeling uplifted by flowers and just feeling the soil. While we are at it, best to notice all the plants and flowers, they all have special properties and have effects on our bodies, whether through our senses or consumed directly ( obviously after doing your own research and consulting specialists). For example, I am always happy to be out and finding Milk Thistle: the best herb we can have to help clear the liver. Every country has a bitter herb that loves your liver. Where you live, which plant is a bitter herb that aids the liver? 🧘‍♀️🌿

The past reel about increasing your fibre and micronutrient intake left the question: what would you add to this dish? Thanks for your super creative responses. Surprise surprise! I added turkey and cooked mushrooms! Yummm, super good lean protein and veg that privide a good mix of vitamins and minerals plus fibre that is easier to digest! This combo is great for long lasting steady energy for your body and brain. I find it is a great light choice in the evening, supporting the body when settling down and getting ready for recovery, rest and sleep. But It can also be used for so much more knowing your gut is getting the best of both worlds, taste and health! 💭

Posture is an important expression of health. An open chest can make us feel expansive, an engaged core can make us feel strong and so on. Often posture goes unnoticed, but it has a massive effect, not only on how we feel but also on how our organs and muscles function. So, becoming conscious of how we spend the day will help us to contribute to our everyday wellbeing... What is your posture like?
