Outstanding news from Minnesota! 🎉

Congratulations to the Minnesota Acupuncture Association and Dr. Nick Dougherty, Vice Chair of the NCBAHM Board of Commissioners, on the passage of Minnesota House Bill 1270, recently signed into law by Governor Tim Walz.

This landmark legislation modernizes and expands Minnesota's licensing and practice standards for acupuncture and herbal medicine—strengthening the profession's regulatory framework and helping ensure continued access to high-quality patient care. It also marks a historic milestone as the first law to officially recognize our new name: the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCBAHM).

We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Dougherty for his leadership and support, and to everyone whose years of dedicated advocacy made this possible! 👏

Pulse Community Care is seeking a Licensed Acupuncturist to join its team in a part-time Independent Contractor role across private and community settings. This is a wonderful opportunity for a practitioner who enjoys a mix of general medicine and complex, chronic cases in a collaborative, whole-person care environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a current Maryland acupuncture license, have 2+ years of clinical experience, and be comfortable working with complex and chronic conditions. Experience with Chinese herbal medicine is a plus. Compensation includes 35–40% of revenue, paid onboarding and training support, and commission on products and herbs sold.
