Due to a gas leak near 1419 Forest Drive, we’re required to evacuate the building for the rest of the day.

Our goal was to transition to teletherapy, but we are no longer able to access our electronic client files due to power being turned off. This means we’re closed for the rest of today, Wednesday 7/29.

Stuttering is a natural part of many people’s communication experiences—and it is so much more than simply “getting stuck” on words.  

Understanding stuttering means recognizing that it is a communication difference influenced by the brain, speech motor system, emotions, and individual experiences. While there is no one-size-fits-all approach, support can make a meaningful difference. 

At Chesapeake Speech Language Associates, our therapists are here to support children who stutter and their families through individualized evaluations, speech therapy, and parent coaching. Our goal is to create a space where every child feels confident, understood, and empowered to communicate!
