Congratulations to our music therapy intern Avery! She completed her internship at the end of July, marking the completion of her requirements to sit for the CBMT exam.

Avery has been an invaluable part of our team the past 7 months, and we are happy to share that Avery will be returning to Expressive Therapies as a music therapist beginning next week. 🌞

You & Me
This 10-session group is ideal for children ages 5-7 who would benefit from building communication and social skills, learning positive peer interaction strategies, improving attention and self-regulation, practicing turn-taking and sharing, developing confidence in a supportive group setting. Through music and movement, participants will have opportunities to learn, connect, and grow alongside peers.

True Colors
This 10-session music therapy group helps children ages 7-10 strengthen communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and self-confidence through engaging music-based activities. Music provides a fun and engaging way for children to build social and communication skills. Through music-based experiences, participants will will be supported in their style of communication and have opportunities to learn, connect, and grow alongside peers.

CODA: Creative Opportunities for Developing Awareness
This 10-session music therapy group is designed for Tweens and teens who would benefit from additional opportunities to practice communication skills, build confidence, strengthen peer relationships, and develop emotional awareness in a structured and supportive setting.

CRESCENDO:
CRESCENDO is a 13-week performance group aimed to build friendships, practice social skills, learn and play music, perform with a group, and increase confidence. This group is designed for pre-teens to adults interested in music making & instrument play, individuals looking to build social confidence, and those wanting to practice collaboration and communication skills. No band experience required

RISE UP:
RISE Up is a creative arts therapy group for children ages 8-10. Guided by an art therapist, participants engage in movement, art-making, storytelling, and collaborative activities designed to strengthen social, emotional, and executive functioning skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Drawing For Regulation:
Drawing for Regulation is a 10-session art therapy group for youth ages 10-15 that uses drawing, mindfulness, and creative problem-solving activities to build emotional regulation, coping skills, and executive functioning. Participants will learn practical strategies for managing emotions, reducing stress, increasing self-awareness, and developing flexible thinking in a supportive and engaging group environment. No artistic experience is required

Songwriting Studio:
In Songwriting Studio, participants will collaborate to write, record, and produce original songs. This 10-session group is designed for ages 11-16 who are interested in music, songwriting, recording, or creative expression. Whether you're a beginner or already making music, Songwriting Studio offers a supportive space to learn new skills, collaborate with peers, and create original songs together. No experience required.

RISE: Regulate, Interact, Socialize, Express
RISE is a 10-session creative arts therapy group for children ages 6-8
designed to build confidence, emotional regulation, and social connection
through music, movement, storytelling, and collaborative activities. Led by a
music therapist, each session provides opportunities for learning, growth, and
meaningful peer interaction in a fun and supportive environment.

REVERB: Creative Arts and Expression for Preteens (10-12 y/o)
REVERB is a 10-session group designed for preteens who would benefit from improving executive functioning skills, strengthening social connections, and developing emotional awareness through creative arts experiences and therapeutic discussion. No art or music experience is necessary. All supplies are provided. REVERB builds upon the skills introduced in RISE UP while welcoming both returning and new participants.

We are still looking for a tenant to lease our 245 N Metro Drive office space! With 2627 sq ft. and Located at HWY 41 and College Avenue extremely close to the highway and mall. It's been a great space for us but have moved to a bigger space to continue growing! Please share with others who may be interested.
