Appalachian Counseling and Psychological Services opened in 2014 to provide integrated services from testing to treatment. We create an environment that offers a team approach, where professionals work together to provide varied, evidence-based, and comprehensive services focusing on the whole person. As a team of psychologists, therapists, and medical staff, we offer an integrated approach to address the needs of the people we serve.

🌟 Celebrating Another Powerful EMDR Training in Asheville! 🌟
We’re thrilled to share the joy and gratitude from our recent ACAPS & EMDR Consulting EMDR Training here in Asheville, NC. This cohort brought heart, dedication, and a deep commitment to trauma‑informed care — and it shows in every moment captured in these photos.

A special spotlight goes to Appalachian Counseling and Psychological Services (ACAPS), proudly based right here in Asheville. One of our EMDR Coaches and ACAPS Co‑Founder, Tara Chandler, continues to bring her expertise, warmth, and leadership to every training. Her vision for accessible, high‑quality mental health care in Western North Carolina is woven into the fabric of this work.
