Nine days.

That's how long an 82-year-old woman lay trapped in her bathtub after a fall before anyone realized she needed help.

Unable to reach her phone, she survived by using her foot to turn on the faucet for water. It wasn't until her brother requested a welfare check that first responders found her alive.

She survived—but her story raises an important question:
If something happened to you or someone you love today, how long would it take before anyone knew?

Sometimes the difference between life and death isn't the emergency itself—it's the time before anyone knows.
