Preeclampsia Awareness & Warning Signs
Preeclampsia can develop during pregnancy or after delivery—and it can be serious if missed. Knowing the signs can save lives.

Watch for:
• New or worsening headaches that don’t go away
• Swelling in face, hands, or around the eyes
• Vision changes (blurry, spots, or flashing lights)
• Pain in the upper right side of your belly
• Sudden weight gain or trouble breathing

If you’re pregnant or recently delivered and notice these symptoms, don’t wait—call your provider or go to the ER.

📞 Need a women’s health visit or blood pressure check? Call HEAL at 404-564-7749 to schedule an appointment and ask about preeclampsia screening.

During Women’s Health Awareness Month, it’s important to talk about the health conditions that often receive less attention but still deeply affect women across the United States. While breast cancer, diabetes, and heart disease are widely discussed, several other serious health issues continue to disproportionately impact Black and Hispanic women due to barriers in healthcare access, systemic inequities, and social determinants of health.

May is both Women’s Health Awareness Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, but for many women, getting the healthcare they need can feel overwhelming. Scheduling appointments, figuring out insurance, finding mental health support, and managing family responsibilities often become barriers to care. At HEALing Community Health, we believe healthcare should feel simpler, more connected, and more supportive.

That’s why HEAL offers a “one door, many supports” approach — one call or one visit to any of our clinics provides access to multiple services designed to care for the whole person.

💜 It’s National Women’s Health Week! 💜

Taking care of your health starts with the choices you make every day — and nutrition plays a major role in overall wellness. Healthy eating can help boost energy, support heart and bone health, strengthen the immune system, and improve mental well-being.

Women are often busy caring for everyone else, but this week is a reminder to make your own health a priority too. Schedule those checkups, stay active, get enough rest, and fuel your body with the nutrition it needs to thrive. 🌿

Your health matters every day of the year.
