🚨 MISSOURI DENTAL HYGIENISTS: YOUR VOICE MATTERS!
The Missouri Dental Hygienists’ Association (MDHA) has filed a lawsuit challenging a proposed rule that would allow dental assistants to perform supragingival scaling and comprehensive periodontal charting through an expanded-function permit.
MDHA argues the proposed rule exceeds the Board’s authority and raises concerns about patient safety, evidence supporting improved access to care, and the removal of patient disclosure and consent requirements.
📣 Public comments are open through October 15, 2026!
Dental hygienists, dentists, and patients are encouraged to speak up and share their concerns with the Missouri Dental Board.
Protect our profession. Advocate for patient safety. Make your voice heard!
