First, we provide job opportunities for adults with disabilities who are historically a group that is overlooked for employment. Also, we help the vendors/customers who provide these jobs to the Workshop by producing a quality product at a cost-saving to them.

How do you know you've arrived at a VSW event?

The hugs.

Lots and lots of hugs.

People often joke that our Executive Director, Hugo, is a hugger. The truth is, that spirit has become part of who we are. Somewhere along the way, our community stopped greeting each other with handshakes and started welcoming each other with open arms.

Because everyone deserves to know they matter.

Everyone deserves to feel seen.

Everyone deserves to feel loved.

These photos aren't just pictures of people hugging. They are pictures of friendships, belonging, and a community that has become family.

We don't get to choose the family we're born into, but we do get to choose the family we build. At VSW, we've built a family that celebrates together, cries together, grows together, and never lets someone leave without knowing they are loved.

Every dream starts with one step.

Today our Lifelong Learner University students dreamed big... and made it happen.

📝 They created a meal plan. 🛒 They shopped for the ingredients. 🍽️ They worked together to make a delicious chicken Parmesan meal from scratch.

This class isn't just about cooking.

It's about building confidence. It's about making choices. It's about gaining independence. It's about believing, "I can do this."

Every lesson plants a seed. Every success builds a future.

Today, we saw dreams growing right before our eyes. 💙

The best birthdays are the ones shared with friends.

A huge thank you to Andy's mom for treating everyone to Chick-fil-A, and to the Batavia Woman's Club for generously providing delicious gluten-free cupcakes so Andy and all his friends could celebrate together.

Today, Andy rang in 25 the best way we know how, surrounded by the best friends in the world, lots of laughter, and a community that loves him.
