What is Trigger Finger?

The fingers are comprised of intricate pulley systems that facilitate comprehensive digital movement. Trigger finger typically involves one of these pulley systems, often in the 3rd or 4th finger, leading to inflammation and subsequent narrowing of the affected area. This can result in digital stiffness and manifest as the digit becoming “locked” in a flexed position until manually extended.
