ACG is encouraged by UHC's announcement today that it will cut requirements by 30%, effective October 1st.

The top takeaways for GI include:

1️⃣For commercial and ACA plans, impacted codes include colonoscopy, EGD, & other codes

2️⃣End of 'advanced notification' program for endoscopy and non-screening colonoscopy

3️⃣No more site-of-service reviews for certain endoscopy services and screening colonoscopy performed in outpatient hospital
