A record may exist in one system, a connection may already be in place, and exchange may technically be possible. But care teams still need information to arrive in the right workflow, at the right time, in a way the next team can act on.

Fax often points to a larger workflow problem.

When healthcare teams rely on fax, phone calls, document chasing, and follow-up, communication becomes something people have to manage manually.

A referral may be sent, but someone still has to confirm it was received. A discharge summary may exist, but it may not reach the next care team in time. A care update may be available, but still require someone to find it, send it, and make sure it can be used.
