What makes the Mindful Grieving Yoga Teacher Training different? 🌿

This training takes a somatic approach to grief support, teaching you how to hold space for others without absorbing their grief, while staying grounded and connected to your own body. Through embodied reflection, you’ll learn to support others in ways that help them see and know themselves more deeply.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to join us! Comment 'WAVE' and I’ll send you the details.

This is how facilitators grow steady, confident, and capable of offering deep care.

If you’re interested in joining us, the next Mindful Grieving Yoga Teacher Training starts in November.

I hear so often that grief work feels like a calling, not a decision.

You go through something, it shapes you, and eventually you want to sit with others in their pain.

You don’t need to be “finished” with your own story to support someone else.
Your experience becomes part of your presence.

If you’re feeling drawn to this path, the Mindful Grieving YTT is where I teach the skills that help you do this work with steadiness and care.

You can explore it here: https://centerforsomaticgrieving.com/ytt

The ocean holds without conditions. It receives whatever you bring.

And surfing takes that further. When you're on a board in moving water, the wave doesn't wait for you to be ready.

It asks you to be here, now, completely or it takes you under. That demand is the somatic practice. That demand requires full presence.

For some people, the body needs to move before it can release. It needs the particular demand of the wave, the paddle and the wipeout, before something held deep in the tissue can loosen.

Your body on the board is the grief work itself. It just looks like surfing.

At Meeting the Wave, three surf sessions with trauma-informed instructors from Maui Surfer Girls met exactly where you are, never pushed beyond your capacity and if the water is more than you're ready for, the beach and the page are here too.

When people ask me what makes this work so powerful, I always come back to the same thing:

Your body already knows how to listen.

We're taught to approach grief with our minds — what to say, how to help, how to offer comfort.
But the body holds a deeper wisdom.
When you slow down, something in you remembers how to stay present without tightening…how to witness without absorbing…
how to hold space without rushing someone toward resolution.

This is the foundation of embodied facilitation.
Not theory first — presence first.

Inside Mindful Grieving YTT, I teach you how to attune to your own inner cues so you can stay steady when someone else is unraveling or softening in front of you.
That steadiness is what creates the safety they feel.

If this path is calling to you, enrollment is still open, but it closes this week.

Grief can turn our world upside down, but it can also create space for profound self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-love. 💛

Through my own journey with grief, I’ve learned how healing it can be to have a space where we can show up exactly as we are—vulnerable, messy, and fully human—and be met with love and acceptance. Being able to offer that space to others is one of the greatest gifts of my work. 🤍

Whether you’re navigating your own grief or feel called to support others, I’d love to connect. Explore my mindful grieving programs, somatic sessions, retreats, and teacher training to find the support or path that feels right for you. 🌿✨

I look forward to connecting with you!

What if you had a vibrant, compassionate community of yogis to dive in deep and explore your personal and collective experiences of loss as you learn the tools to guide others through their own grief journeys?

What if there was a grief-focused, somatic curriculum designed to support people in growing and evolving through their grief, helping them experience greater connection, clarity, awareness, and gratitude?

Would you step into a community of like-minded, compassionate, deep souls who share a mission to transform the culture of grief?

Would you say yes to the calling you feel in your heart—to transform your pain into love and offer your open, compassionate heart to support others through the tender waters of grief?

Our next Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy Teacher Training begins this November!

Join our community of facilitators and bring this transformative work into your personal and professional lives.

What if you didn’t have to carry it alone?

This December, I’m creating a space to set the backpack down for a little while.

Meeting the Wave is a somatic grief, surf and writing retreat on Maui happening December 8-13, a place to let grief move through the body, onto the page and within a supportive circle.

Because grief comes in waves....so does fear and change. Sometimes, healing begins with learning how to meet the wave instead of bracing against it.

Join me for our Preview Call tomorrow Tuesday, August 25. I’ll share more about the retreat, what the days will hold and how the ocean, body, writing and circle come together.

Comment 'WAVE' and I’ll send you the details.
