It is with deep gratitude and a full heart that we share the retirement of Luis “Lou” Garcia after more than 30 years of dedicated service to Florida Epilepsy Services.
For three decades, Lou has been a steady presence, a trusted voice, and a guiding force for this organization and the countless individuals and families we serve. His guidance, leadership, drive, and unwavering passion for this work have shaped not only our programs but the very foundation of who we are.
Lou was never just a Senior Case Manager.
He was a Lighthouse.
A source of guidance when families felt lost.
A pillar of safety in moments of uncertainty.
A symbol of hope when hope felt out of reach.
He showed up consistently, compassionately, and selflessly for every person who needed him. His impact goes far beyond numbers or years of service; it lives in the lives he changed, the dignity he restored, and the paths he helped redirect.
As we move forward, we do so standing on the legacy he helped build. While his daily presence will be deeply missed, the standard he set and the light he carried will continue to guide us.
Lou, thank you for your commitment, your heart, and your leadership. Thank you for being a Lighthouse for all of us.
We wish you peace, joy, and well-deserved rest in this next chapter.💜
With gratitude,
Lenore A. Brinson
Executive Director
