Healing doesn’t happen because one extraordinary thing suddenly changes your life.
It happens because thousands of ordinary moments begin teaching your body that it no longer has to prepare for danger.
And eventually, your nervous system believes you.
There comes a sacred point in healing when you realize peace is not the reward waiting for you after the storm.
Peace is the initiation.
Trauma can create something called allostatic load… the physiological burden accumulated when the body remains under chronic or repeated stress.
And when survival becomes familiar, something fascinating happens:
Hypervigilance can masquerade as intuition.
Chaos can masquerade as chemistry.
Survival can masquerade as strength.
Until your discernment becomes sharp enough to know the difference.
Your body was never meant to remain an altar to what wounded you… or, in my case, to those who deliberately and maliciously sought to wound me.
It was designed to repair.
To regulate.
To remember safety.
This is where science and spirituality converge.
Healing is not forgetting what happened. It is reaching the sacred threshold where what happened no longer gets to govern what happens next.
