Back to school means back to reading, writing, screens, sports, and busy schedules! 📚✏️👓
But did you know that seeing 20/20 is only one part of healthy vision?
For children to feel confident in the classroom, their eyes and brain need to work together efficiently. Skills like eye tracking, focusing, eye teaming, depth perception, and visual processing can all play a role in reading, learning, coordination, and everyday activities.
That’s where Vision Therapy can help! 👀✨
Vision Therapy is an individualized program designed to strengthen the connection between the eyes and brain. It may benefit children who struggle with:
• Losing their place while reading
• Eye strain or headaches during schoolwork
• Difficulty focusing or tracking words on a page
• Poor hand-eye coordination or depth perception
• Visual challenges that affect sports performance
And with fall sports back in full swing, vision matters off the page, too! 🏐⚽🏈 Vision Therapy can help support visual skills used in athletics, such as tracking moving objects, reaction time, spatial awareness, and eye-hand coordination.
For children and teens recovering from a concussion, visual symptoms can also be part of the recovery process. When appropriate, Vision Therapy may be used to address vision problems that persist following a concussion or other brain injury.
This school year, help your child do more than simply see the board. Help give them the visual skills they need to learn, play, and thrive. For more information call our office at (262) 421-4412 today!
