This past Friday, Dr. E and several of our team members had the privilege of volunteering once again at the Special Olympics, helping provide vision screenings for incredible athletes in our community.

The Special Olympics supports children and adults with intellectual disabilities through sports, inclusion, and opportunities to thrive, and we’re honored to play a small role in helping athletes see their very best. 👓✨

Thank you to the athletes, families, organizers, and fellow volunteers for such a meaningful day. We’re already looking forward to next year!

June is Migraine & Headache Awareness Month!

Did you know migraines are more than “just a headache”? In addition to head pain, migraines and chronic headaches can also cause symptoms such as light sensitivity, dizziness, nausea, blurred vision, eye strain, difficulty focusing, and visual discomfort.

For some individuals, visual stress or difficulties with how the eyes and brain work together may contribute to symptoms. While not every headache or migraine is vision-related, identifying possible contributing factors can be an important step toward relief.

At our office, we offer services like NeuroVisual Medicine and Vision Therapy to help evaluate visual factors that may be playing a role in headaches, migraines, dizziness, or visual discomfort.

June is Cataract Awareness Month!

Did you know cataracts are one of the leading causes of vision changes, especially as we age? A cataract happens when the eye’s natural lens becomes cloudy, causing blurry vision, glare from lights, faded colors, or trouble seeing at night.

Common signs of cataracts can include:
• Blurry or cloudy vision
• Increased sensitivity to light or glare
• Difficulty driving at night
• Colors appearing dull or yellowed
• Frequent prescription changes

The good news? Cataracts are very common and highly treatable. Routine eye exams are one of the best ways to catch vision changes early and keep your eyes healthy.

Last night was full of color, community, and a whole lot of fun! 🌈🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Cedarburg Color Rush such a great event, and to everyone who came out to participate! Our team had an amazing time cheering everyone on, soaking in the colorful chaos, and handing out pizza at the finish line 🍕✨
