To provide individuals with developmental disabilities a welcoming place where they can improve the quality of their lives by interacting with peers, enjoying recreational activities and working on critical life skills so they may become the best versions of themselves. Our Inspiration
We founded Tyler’s Place in honor of our son who was diagnosed with autism at age 2 and is now a young adult. When he entered high school, we searched for the right after school program and struggled to find something that was both age appropriate and safe. Frustrated with our empty search, and knowing we are not the only parents struggling with this, we decided to open our own facility for special needs teenagers. After quickly realizing it wasn’t just teenagers who could use our help, our original vision has grown to include a day program for adults as well. It is important to us that everyone have a place to go during the day or after school where they can feel welcome, nurtured and cared for.
