Summer Solstice Despacho Ceremony

Following the Andean tradition of Ayni, which represents sacred reciprocity, we gathered to honor Pachamama and the Apus on the longest day of the year.

A despacho is a sacred living mandala made of flowers, sweets, and prayers to align our intentions with the elements.

We carefully infused our gratitude into the medicine before giving it back to the sacred waters.

As soon as the offering was released into the current, a butterfly landed as confirmation that our prayers were received by the Earth.
