The Community Free Clinic of Cabarrus County

The Community Free Clinic of Cabarrus County We help Cabarrus County residents move toward wellness by providing comprehensive healthcare. All services are free.

The Community Free Clinic is celebrating 30 years of providing free healthcare and pharmacy services to the adults of Cabarrus County who don't have insurance or access to care. Our patients are within 300% of the Federal Poverty Level, and are unable to get Medicaid, are between jobs, or are working adults who cannot get insurance through the workplace or privately because of cost. The Clinic is

a primary care provider, including labwork, treatment, medications, and specialty clinics. We offer preventive, acute, and chronic disease care. We are proud to partner with providers throughout Cabarrus County through Healthnet Cabarrus's Pink Card Program for referrals. The Clinic is privately funded by grants and generous donations from the community, and is not an insurer or part of an insurance network. The Community Free Clinic is a member of the North Carolina Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NCAFCC).

A big thank you to our teen volunteers, Zoe and Savannah, and summer intern, Leigh, who spent part of their day making fresh smoothies for patients and helping distribute bags of fresh produce and shelf-stable food.

Food insecurity is one of the most common challenges facing our patients. Access to healthy food is especially important for people managing chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. That's why the Community Free Clinic works to provide free food support twice each month, helping patients make healthy choices that support their well-being.

💚 Want to help your neighbors get healthier?
A gift of just $20 per month helps provide a bag of food for four families with multiple meals.

🤝 Looking for a way to give back? Volunteer with us and be part of building a healthier Cabarrus County.

📣 Not able to donate or volunteer right now? You can still make a difference by sharing our mission and letting others know that the Community Free Clinic is here to help.

Together, we're improving health—one patient, one family, and one community at a time.

💙 Helping our patients stay healthy—one bag at a time.

Thanks to our amazing volunteer Monelle, dozens of bags of nutritious food were distributed to patients yesterday. Many of the individuals we serve face limited access to healthy meals, so these food bags—designed to support diabetic health—make a real difference.

We’re grateful to our partners at Food Lion, Cooperative Christian Ministry, and Second Harvest for making this possible, and to dedicated volunteers like Monelle who bring care to life.

Healthy food helps people get healthy—and stay healthy.

We often hear that people feel nervous about coming to a clinic — unsure of what to expect, imagining long waits, crowded spaces, and a hectic environment.

But that isn’t the experience here.

One of our own patients put it best:
“They should go to the clinic. Their service is extraordinary. Everyone is friendly, and they treat you well.”

At our clinic, we work hard to create a welcoming, calm, and respectful space where you feel cared for—not overwhelmed.

If you live in Cabarrus County, don’t have insurance, and have an income under $45,000 as a single person, we’re here for you. We provide:

* Routine checkups
* Sick visits
* Ongoing support for chronic conditions
* Access to medications
* Specialty care (with some services available onsite)

We believe healthcare should be accessible for everyone. That means no fear of unexpected bills, and no hesitation about getting the care you need.

You deserve compassionate, high-quality care. And we’re here to make sure you get it. 💙

What a fun night at Play It Forward! 🎲❤️

Last Friday, friends, families, and community members came together at Luck Factory Games to play games, connect, and learn more about how Community Free Clinic provides healthcare access for uninsured neighbors in our community.

From board games and conversations to meeting new faces and sharing stories about the Clinic’s impact, the evening was filled with laughter, connection, and support for local healthcare. We loved having the opportunity to talk with so many people about the work happening every day at the Clinic to help our patients live healthier lives.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, played games, donated, shared our mission, and helped make the evening special. We’re grateful for a community that believes healthcare should be accessible for everyone. 💙

And thank you to Luck Factory Games for hosting such a welcoming and fun event for our community!
