**☀️ Heat Wave Alert: Stay Cool, Stay Safe 💙**

If you live with **POTS, dysautonomia, hypermobility, or EDS**, extreme heat isn't just uncomfortable—it can significantly increase symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, rapid heart rate, brain fog, nausea, and even fainting.

🌡️ **When temperatures rise, your body has to work even harder to regulate itself.**

Here are some simple ways to help beat the heat:

🧊 **Cool from the inside out**
• Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.
• Don't forget your electrolytes and salt (if recommended by your healthcare provider).
• Enjoy cold drinks, popsicles, smoothies, or frozen fruit.

❄️ **Use cooling tools**
• Cooling towels
• Neck fans
• Ice packs on your neck, wrists, or chest
• Cooling vests if you're especially heat-sensitive

👕 **Dress for success**
• Wear lightweight, breathable clothing.
• Choose light colors.
• Wear a hat and sunglasses if you'll be outdoors.

🏠 **Plan around the heat**
• Stay indoors during the hottest part of the day (typically 11 AM–4 PM).
• Run errands early in the morning or later in the evening.
• Take frequent breaks in air-conditioned spaces.

🚿 **Cool your body**
• Take a cool shower or bath.
• Run cool water over your wrists or feet.
• Mist yourself with a spray bottle and sit near a fan.

💙 **Listen to your body**
Don't push through symptoms. If you notice increased dizziness, palpitations, nausea, or feel like you might faint:
✔️ Sit or lie down.
✔️ Elevate your legs if possible.
✔️ Hydrate and cool your body before trying to continue your day.

Remember: **Rest is productive, too.** During a heat wave, adjusting your plans isn't giving up—it's taking care of your nervous system.

When living with POTS, dysautonomia, hypermobility, EDS, or other chronic conditions, your nervous system can often become stuck in a heightened state of stress and alertness.

The good news? One of the most powerful tools you have is something you do every day—breathing.

Slow, controlled breathing can help:

✨ Activate your body's relaxation response
✨ Reduce feelings of stress and anxiety

Try this simple exercise:

🌿 Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds
🌿 Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6 seconds

While you'll still find updates from Full Circle, this new page will allow us to provide more targeted content and build a supportive community for those navigating these complex conditions.
At Full Circle, we understand that symptom management and recovery are not one-size-fits-all.
