Most people really don’t understand this so I really wanted to break it down a bit:

Insurance REALLY dictates what we can and can’t do in therapy and often put a much larger burden on clinics, especially small ones without additional staff to handle all the admin work.

Cash-based care (not just PT) is often much higher quality because of the flexibility and freedom, and the extra time we can see patients. AND it’s often the same price if not cheaper than going in network through insurance, for various reasons including possible discounts for session packages, superbilling, etc.

If you find time to read this, you can learn a little more about what I’m talking about. If not, at least look into it a little bit. Insurances want you to believe that it’s the only route, but it’s not. There are also “health sharing” programs that people may qualify for that opens the door to better care for less cost. Just some thoughts.
