There are moments in business that remind you why you do what you do. ❤️🩸
Today, I received a $50 tip from a client, and I am always truly grateful for every tip and every kind gesture I receive. But what meant even more to me was why he gave it.
This client scheduled a kit draw, and after reviewing the lab order, I realized I needed to clarify a few things before proceeding. I contacted the lab to confirm the proper shipping requirements, including whether dry ice was needed, and kept my client informed every step of the way.
This morning, I also kept him updated on my ETA. When I arrived and went through the kit, I noticed that one of the tubes needed for his CBC was missing. Rather than simply saying it couldn’t be done, I explained the situation and used a tube I had on hand so that we could complete the blood draw properly.
After the appointment, my client sent my payment through Zelle. When I checked my account, I realized he had included a $50 tip. I texted him to thank him, and his response was:
“You deserved it! You went above and beyond to make sure my labs were done correctly.”
That message meant so much to me. 🥹❤️
I will always go above and beyond for my patients. It’s not just about drawing blood—it’s about paying attention to the details, advocating for my clients, communicating with them, and making sure everything is done correctly and safely.
This is why I do what I do.
