I hear this a lot…
“But I don’t know anything about horses!”
GOOD NEWS!!! You don’t have to! 😂🐴
You don’t have to know how to ride. You don’t have to know all the horse terms. You don’t have to have grown up around horses.
You just have to show up as YOU.
There is something pretty darn special about spending time with a horse and seeing what happens when you allow yourself to slow down and connect.
They’ll meet you right where you are. 💛

I LOVE this time of year at the ranch!
Cooler mornings. Beautiful evenings. Changing colors. And of course…the horses start getting a little fuzzier!

We have some really fun and meaningful things happening at Leave It In The Sand over the next couple of months, and I am SO excited to share them with you!!!
Sunset & Sips is coming up this month, and then our Veterans Retreat will be here in October!

As we head into September, I am feeling incredibly grateful for this ranch, these horses, and all of YOU who follow along, ask questions, attend events, and support what we’re building here at Leave It In The Sand.

This one is very close to my heart. 💛

We will be hosting another Veterans Retreat this October at Leave It In The Sand.

There is something incredibly powerful about creating a space where people can step away from everyday life, spend time with the horses, and simply have room to BE.

We’ll be sharing much more about the retreat soon, so for now…stay tuned.
I am so grateful that we get to open up the ranch for experiences like this. 🇺🇸🐴

Okay…I am REALLY excited about this one!!!

Sunset Sips is coming in September! 🌅🐴

An evening at the ranch. Horses. A beautiful sunset. Time to slow down, connect, and just enjoy being here.

Sounds pretty darn wonderful, doesn’t it?!

This event will be FREE (donations accepted), and please bring a chair just in case we run out!

Have you ever wondered WHY being around a horse can feel so calming?

Horses are incredibly aware of what is happening around them, and they are pretty darn good at picking up on what is happening with US, too.

They don’t care what your job title is, how long your to-do list is, or whether you have everything figured out.

They meet you right where you are.

And sometimes, that is exactly what we need. 💛

There is just something about a barn.

The sounds. The smells. The chores. The dirt that somehow gets EVERYWHERE. 😂 And, of course, the horses waiting to greet you.

It’s not always glamorous around here (actually…it usually isn’t!), but I wouldn’t trade it.

The barn has always been a place where I can slow down, get out of my own head, and just BE.

That’s one of my favorite things about sharing this space with others. You don’t have to be a “horse person” to feel what happens when you spend a little time here. 🐴
