Had to get out of the Smokey valley and to the coast. This was my first ever sea urchin and what’s so weird is that it spikes were moving!!! Gotta research why.

I helped build this catio for my three rescue cats. I hung the wire, shelves and built the cat stairs. The 32’ walkway along the fence will eventually lead to an even larger catio. This is the first time I’ve ever had indoor cats. Tired of vet bills etc. and the two republican cats that moved in next door and beats up my one outdoor cat. They enter the catio from an indoor room through a cat flap. They love it, and in the end the expense is worth the expense of vet bills.

Whoops! Someone in the Newport Jetty is having a bad day! Here comes the Coast Guard! And it’s low tide. Don’t know how they managed to get over that small stretch of jetty. And they’re fishermen.

Rarely do you ever see eagles flying together, they are solitary birds. This morning very early as I stood on the isolated beach I heard a commotion and looked up to see 5 eagles being chased by a huge group of seagulls. They were about 50 feet in front of me, I was right on the tide line and flying at eye level. Lucky me!
