3V Development

3V Development 3V develops housing, commercial spaces, and community in South Fayetteville, Arkansas. Z grew up in Boston; Gina, El Dorado.

Gina and Z only intended to stay in Fayetteville for 5 years, but they have now made it a home. Their family has grown to love Fayetteville’s sense of community, openness, and vitality. They met in Boston during college and have lived in New York, New Orleans, and several cities in California. Gina and Z hope to preserve Fayetteville’s sense of small town character, while at the same time, bring i

deas that work well from larger cities around the world. Gina and Z also feel strongly that interaction and engagement with others of all backgrounds is the only way to make a stronger community that has the potential to benefit everyone, not just those with higher means or stronger voices. These beliefs have been influenced by Gina and Z’s educational and work experience over the last 20 years. Gina and Z both have degrees in Economics (Gina from Wellesley College; Z from Stanford). Both worked in the finance industry in New York City after graduation. Gina was downtown during the September 11th tragedy, and this event pushed Gina and Z towards careers with a more healthy balance of social, environmental, and economic interests. Gina and Z moved to California where they eventually went on to pursue Masters degrees at the University of California - Berkeley. Gina earned a Master’s in Public Policy and worked for UC Berkeley’s Institute for Labor and Employment. Z earned a Master’s in Urban Planning with an emphasis on Environmental Planning. After graduate school, Gina and Z moved to New Orleans where Gina worked as a policy analyst on behalf of low-income survivors of Hurricane Katrina. Z worked on the planning and redevelopment of 9th Ward in New Orleans and on infrastructure redevelopment across the Gulf Coast. The two moved to Fayetteville, where Gina’s family is close by, to start their own family. Z is a board member with Partners For Better Housing, a non-profit that is building a mixed income development in South Fayetteville. He is also a licensed contractor and a licensed realtor with Crye-Leike Realtors. Gina is a co-President of the Leverett PTO and has recently rejoined Z at 3VOLVE. Gina and Z now work to develop creative spaces for people to live, work, grow, and play in South Fayetteville.

December 17th will be a bittersweet day. More sweet than bitter though. After many years of improving the Spring Shop, and holding numerous community events, to bring the community together, we are selling the building. I am happy to share that the person buying the building is a local to South Fayetteville and owns and operates multiple successful food and beverage operations in Fayetteville. He plans to open another food and beverage establishment here at the Spring Shop, if the City doesn’t crush his dreams with death by a thousand regulations. I wil let him announce it when he’s ready. I look forward to meeting you on the other side of this local small business journey with some tasty food and beverage. Thanks for all the memories. Thank you to all you neighbors and friends who came out for events. Thank you to all the vendors, musicians, food purveyors, small businesses and hosts who made these events possible.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

I’m very excited to now have our plans ready for our commercial corner at 519 S College at MLK! A small retail shop - think coffee or ice cream - and an office upstairs (with room for retail to expand. This is the former site of the Johnson Corner Store which closed over a decade ago. I think Rob Sharp designed a great building that is reflective of what was there before and will now serve the community for the next century moving forward!

Here's a sneak peak of a project we are working on. Its a mix of one and two bedroom homes with a central courtyard. We are still exploring whether the City will approve it or something like it, but it looks promising.
