Meet TaKiesha Smith, CLC, CBS, DONA‑certified doula, educator, and maternal health advocate supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with care that is clear, empowering, and evidence‑based.
TaKiesha offers hands‑on infant feeding support, pump guidance, and practical lactation education, with a strong focus on newborn feeding and expanding access to care in her community.
Her path into birthwork began early, while earning her CNA and interning at a birthing center—where she discovered a deep passion for supporting families during life’s most transformative moments. After several years in education, she formally entered the birth space during the pandemic and quickly became known for her calm presence, thoughtful preparation, and strong advocacy.
As a Black mother who experienced a traumatic near‑miss birth, TaKiesha is deeply committed to improving maternal health outcomes and ensuring families—especially those historically underserved—receive respectful, informed, and compassionate care. https://www.babiesincommon.com/directory/item/takiesha-smith-clc-cbs
