Accelacare Physical Therapy is a privately owned physical therapy practice founded in 2007. We specialize in musculoskeletal disorders and offer a hands-on approach for treatment to correct bio-mechanical faults in joint mobility, muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility. Our clinicians have advanced training in orthopaedic manual therapy for the assessment and treatment of acute and chronic

problems. This advanced training allows for the cause of our patients' dysfunctions to be more easily identified and to be corrected with education, exercise and manual therapy techniques. We pride ourselves on being movement experts that identify and correct the original cause of our patients' problems so that surgery, injections and long-term medication use can be avoided if possible. Accelacare Physical Therapy received the 2010 Kansas Small Business Development Center Emerging Business of the Year Award for Southwest Kansas. DID YOU KNOW: A doctor’s referral is no longer required to be treated by a physical therapist. We do Provide a Spanish Interpreter for your needs.*******

Hello everyone! My name is Adam Mortensen, and I am from Council Bluffs, IA. I am currently a student at Creighton University, where I just ﬁnished my ﬁrst year and am on track to graduate in
2028. For the next 6 weeks I will be working as a Student Physical Therapist here at Accelacare!

I wanted to work at Accelacare because I want to learn from respected professionals so that I can be the best PT I can possibly be. I am passionate about improving my patients' lives - both through excellent physical therapy care and by building good, functional relationships that make the process more fun. I truly enjoy getting to meet new patients and providing them with quality care.

Before starting PT school, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise cience from BYU and a Master’s in Health, Human Performance, and Recreation from Pittsburg State. I am EMR/BLS certiﬁed, a Certiﬁed Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, and have my EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS) certiﬁcation. I also love research and have been involved in projects at every stage
of my college career.

Outside the clinic, I love staying active and spending time outdoors. I enjoy playing sports, especially soccer and ﬂag football, and you can often ﬁnd me playing intramurals with my classmates. I also
value time with my family, especially my wife—we are actually about to celebrate our one-year anniversary!

I want to thank the entire team at Accelacare for providing such a great, supportive environment for me to learn and grow.
