This team sure knows how to dream. 💫 We recently had the opportunity to volunteer at the Permission to Start Dreaming Gala, and our hearts left feeling so full.

We love being part of a community that shows up for people during some of life’s most difficult moments. The work this foundation is doing for veterans and first responders navigating PTSD is truly life-changing.

For Carly especially, this mission hits close to home. As a U.S. Navy Veteran, Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation holds a very special place in her heart. 🤍

A huge thank you to founder Leslie Main, Kathy Black, and everyone involved for creating such a beautiful event and an even more beautiful mission.

“I can’t say enough good things about Carly at Owaken Spa. I’m not someone who does a million skincare steps or follows a routine. I’m actually pretty hard on my skin with what I do for work and sports, have rosacea, and I’m extremely sensitive to products. 

The Bambu Skin products have honestly been amazing for me. My skin tolerates them so well, which is rare, and I’ve noticed such a difference in how calm and healthy my skin feels. Carly really listens, takes great care of me, and never pushes things that don’t make sense for my skin or lifestyle. 

If you have sensitive or reactive skin and feel overwhelmed by skincare, I highly recommend seeing her. She truly cares and it shows.

I also want to say how much I appreciate Cancer Concierge and what they are doing for our community. After my son was diagnosed with a rare Hodgkin’s lymphoma, CC left the most beautiful and thoughtful gift bag for him. It was such a kind gesture during a really overwhelming time for our family. 

You can feel the genuine care behind what they do. Small acts of compassion matter so much when someone is going through cancer, and I will never forget that kindness. Our community is lucky to have people and organizations like this supporting families during difficult moments.”

The Pierce County Cancer Survivorship Conference is such a beautiful reminder that survivorship is about so much more than treatment.

This event is dedicated to supporting and celebrating cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers throughout our South Sound community while creating space for education, empowerment, and connection.

Attendees will hear conversations around important topics like navigating emotions after cancer, skincare during and after treatment, and updates in cancer research, while also having opportunities to connect with local resources and community partners.

Tracy is on the other side of treatment, and getting to do her hair for her very first trip since diagnosis felt incredibly special.

She’s headed off to visit her daughter looking absolutely beautiful, radiant, and SO fully herself again.

Tracy has been such an inspiration throughout her journey. Her strength has impacted all of us more than she probably knows. We’re so grateful to walk alongside her through every chapter of this journey. 🫶

So excited to see Bambu Earth now at Owaken Spa! 🪷✨

When you’re newly diagnosed, there’s so much information coming at you so quickly. Conversations around fertility can easily get missed, but for many, they matter deeply for the future.

I’m still learning here too, and I want to make sure we’re able to support our clients in the best way possible. If you’re a local fertility specialist or provider who is open to educating us and being a resource for our community, I would love to connect. 🤍✨
