Our first Summer nature class for June !
We wanted to embrace the season and celebrate sunlight ☀️
So we did so by Turmeric sun printing, also known as anthotype printing! It is an eco-friendly photographic process that uses the light-sensitive properties of turmeric to create beautiful botanical silhouettes on paper. The active compound in turmeric, curcumin, quickly breaks down and bleaches when exposed to sunlight, allowing unshaded areas to fade while shaded areas retain their color. ☘️🌼
The kids had a great time painting and foraging for botanical inspirations and collaborating with nature and the sun on their very own art project 🎨

If you are wanting to register for July summer nature classes there are 5 spaces remaining☀️
$100 /student 4 weeks
Every Monday 1-2:30

I’m late posting because we have been having so much fun!

Spring kids nature class this May was about life cycles 🔄

We introduced this concept by having all the kids plant seeds 🌱 and start baby chicks in an incubator as a group project! 🥚 🐥Throughout the process the next few weeks we got to see the baby chicks grow inside of the eggs and turn into what is our beloved chicken crew now! Thank you Aaron Hopkins for loaning us the incubator!
We also were invited to go fishing 🎣 with Merit Draven from Rogue Fishing Operations, who donated our group his time and fishing gear for future classes and bless his heart- taught all us moms and kids how to set up a pole. 🤗 We can’t wait to go out fishing again!
We also learned about bugs and where to find them and which ones are safe to handle and spent a day searching and finding and observing and identifying all the different bugs. 🐛 🪲🐞 We built them a bug motel and checked in our new bug friends!
Our last nature class was on hatching day 🐣🥹
We spent our time observing the babies hatching, playing with baby chicks, learning more about each life cycle and naming each chick multiple names! 😅 Our may classes wrapped up with a group potluck cookout 🥰

We are so happy to have such a big crew this spring and am excited to see most of the group returning for our June classes which are full! I have lots planned!

EDIT* — it is with tears in my eyes that I post this. We have been donated a hot water heater for a family in the community. We would like to offer Jennifer Patton-Stump and her husband each a massage for their donation. Our raffle giveaway will be postponed for our next mission. *

We will be doing a raffle giveaway for a few items to raise money for a local community member who needs a new hot water heater. One of our elder community members has been humbly going without a hot water heater and we are on a mission to provide one for the family. 🫶🏻

We would love to be a part of your next event!
Let us take the stress out of your itinerary and we will bring the spa to you.

This last few months we have had the opportunity to show up for some really special events and offer chair massage and table massage to large groups and the experience is a joy watching so many be able to relax. We even team up with our favorite folks at Old Agness Store for exclusive charcuterie for your event so food doesn’t have to be a worry either 🫶🏻

Nature Class Spring Series 🦋🐞🐝

*We are opening registration for our summer series, information below ☀️ ⬇️

Today’s class was a fascinating adventure into the world of bugs! Armed with our bug-finding gear, we set off in nature, excited to discover the hidden lives of these tiny creatures. Each student examined the underbrush, flipping over leaves and rocks. We found lots of exciting creatures. After our bug hunt, we shifted our focus to constructing a "bug motel"—a cozy habitat designed to attract and shelter various insects. Using natural materials like wood, straw, and leaves, and pine cones we crafted small spaces , ensuring our new insect friends would have a safe place to thrive. It was a day full of exploration and creativity, giving us a deeper appreciation for the living creatures around us. Can’t wait to see who our first guest are at our big motel! 🐞🦋🐛🐌
