More specifically, we’re a Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), which is a type of retirement community that offers an independent lifestyle along with a full continuum of care. 🚗🫧 A little soap, a lot of teamwork, and an even BIGGER purpose! 💜

Today at WhiteStone, we held a Car Wash Fundraiser benefiting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! 💜🧠

Our residents could bring their cars, golf carts—or both!—and choose what they wanted: a wash, a vacuum, or the full wash-and-vacuum treatment. We had different price points so everyone could participate, and the best part was knowing that the money our residents paid was going directly toward supporting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. 💜

Our leadership team didn’t mind getting a little wet (and a LOT hot!) to make it happen! ☀️💦 We were also so thankful to have members of our Environmental Services team jump in and lend a hand. It truly became a team effort!

It was such a fun day filled with laughter, teamwork, and community spirit. Our residents got clean cars and golf carts, we raised money for an important cause, and our staff got to spend time serving the people who mean so much to us. Talk about a win-win! 💜

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, washed, vacuumed, and helped make today such a success. We are proud to be a community that shows up for one another—and for causes that matter. 💜

🌽💛 From Shucking to Sharing! 💛🌽
Last week, our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents gathered around the table for a little corn-shucking fun! 🌽😊
As they worked, the conversations naturally turned to memories of days gone by — shucking corn when they were younger, helping in the kitchen, and enjoying the simple traditions that brought families together. ❤️
Once all that hard work was finished, our amazing Food & Beverage Department cooked the corn and served it to our residents for lunch. And let’s just say… it was worth the work! 🌽😋 The corn was sweet, delicious, and even better because they had a hand in preparing it themselves.
There’s something special about bringing generations of memories, good food, and good conversation around the same table. What started with a basket of corn ended with full plates, happy hearts, and lots of memories shared. 💛
A big thank you to our residents for making it so much fun — and to our Food & Beverage team for turning their hard work into a delicious lunch! 🌽❤️

🚿🦽💦 WHEELCHAIR WASH DAY at WhiteStone! 💦🦽🚿
Yesterday was definitely a day to remember! Our friends from AuthoraCare of Greensboro brought the fun to WhiteStone with a one-of-a-kind “Wheelchair Wash”! 🧼✨
Our residents’ wheelchairs got the full treatment — a pre-wash, a good old-fashioned scrub down, and then the best part… they were rolled right through the sprinkler for a refreshing rinse! 💦😂 Afterward, they got blown dry with a leaf blower before heading off to enjoy a cool popsicle on the front porch. 🍧☀️and then bubbles to blow! 🫧
We heard so many smiles and laughs, with residents saying, “This is so fun!” “Let’s do it again!”and “This is something we’ve never done before!” ❤️
What a wonderful way to create a little fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories on a hot summer day! ☀️💦

This past weekend on the campus of WhiteStone, we celebrated two distinguished Masons for their years of service and dedication to the craft. Worshipful Brother Bob Street, who served three consecutive terms as Grand Lecturer was celebrated on Friday evening. This was followed by a 70-year pin and certificate being presented to Worshipful Brother Doug “Dorsey” King on Sunday.

These two amazing Brothers have certainly left their mark on Masonry!
