This Labor Day, we pause to honor the dedication and hard work of so many—past and present—who have helped build and strengthen our communities with compassion and commitment.

Hospice of Washington County, we are especially grateful for our incredible caregivers, nurses, volunteers, and administrative staff, whose tireless dedication ensures that every patient and family receives comfort, dignity, and compassionate care.

Today, we celebrate the meaningful work that uplifts hearts, eases burdens, and helps our patients live each day with peace, comfort, and dignity. Thank you to all who give their time, talents, and hearts in service to others.

September 5 is International Day of Charity, a day to celebrate the power of kindness, generosity, and service to others. Established by the United Nations and observed on the anniversary of the passing of Mother Teresa, whose life was devoted to serving people in need, this day reminds us of the difference we can make when we care for one another.

At Hospice of Washington County, we see every day how our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and compassionate supporters help transform lives and build a more caring community. Whether you give your time, share your talents, or make a financial contribution, you have the power to make a difference. Every volunteer brings hope. Every donation helps advance our mission of compassionate hospice care. This International Day of Charity, join us in making our community—and our world—a place where people care for one another.

If you are interested in volunteering, please email [email protected] and if you would like to donate to support our mission, please visit https://www.hospiceofwc.org/donate-now.
