The national and state stances on life affects everyone. Please be in prayer this week for a decision by the Supreme Court to uphold a lower court decision (which is now being appealed) to uphold a ban on mail-order access via tele-health of the ab*rtion pill.
With a temporary approval for mailed ab*rtions to continue, this court order by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is set to expire on May 11, โฬฒ๐โฬฒ๐ตโฬฒ๐ฒโฬฒ โฬฒ๐ฑโฬฒ๐ฎโฬฒ๐โฬฒ โฬฒ๐ฎโฬฒ๐ณโฬฒ๐โฬฒ๐ฒโฬฒ๐ฟโฬฒ โฬฒ๐ โฬฒ๐ผโฬฒ๐โฬฒ๐ตโฬฒ๐ฒโฬฒ๐ฟโฬฒ'โฬฒ๐โฬฒ โฬฒ๐โฬฒ๐ฎโฬฒ๐, when a ruling on the appeal is expected. . . . .
The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals argues that exceptions made during the COVID-19 shutdown were irresponsibly continued post-COVID. Included in those exceptions was the removal of an in-person exam or ultrasound, which is vital to determining gestational age of the baby and other potentially life-threatening scenarios to the mother who is considering ab*rtion.
When the ab*rtion pill is prescribed based on the age of the baby in utero, how can a doctor gather medical evidence for the decision to prescribe the pills virtually through a computer screen conversation?
Allowing ab*rtion pills to be issued without an in-person exam is ALWAYS life-threatening to the baby and can be dangerous to the mother, as many risks to the mother can ONLY be determined with an in-person visit to a medical clinic.
The ab*rtion pill arguably drives abortion industry profits, with its quick and easy flow through tele-health and accounts for two-thirds of all ab*rtions today.
