Here's to telling yourself "I can". An opportunity presented itself to me yesterday to pop up at a local craft fair. I still feel a bit wobbly with my fair setup, and this was also my first one outside. A very recent version of myself would have tried to talk me out of it...that I didn't have enough time, that I didn't have all the equipment I needed... But I told myself "I can do it". Yesterday, clear and steady, I was able to acquire everything I needed and now here I am. The day is gorgeous. Im glad I told myself "I can"🌞

On grief, in waves
It wouldn't surprise me if some of you feel flares of grief right now — maybe stronger than you're used to. If there's emotion you've been holding down, it may be asking for fuller expression. Let yourself create space for it when it wells up. Pause. Cry. Honor it however you need to.
We don't need to get lost in our grief. But it will keep returning throughout our lives — that's not a failure, that's just how it works. We often try to shove it down or outrun it, but I've come to see it differently: grief moves in sporadic waves, and we can let it be just a feeling, without the story attached.
I've started to understand it as one of the ways we process change. A new loss can stir up the losses of a lifetime — that's normal.
So let yourself be with it fully when it shows up. Feel it, and let it pass. If it comes again, feel it again. Some seasons of life bring grief often. Others, it goes quiet. Both are okay. ❤️
