May is Stroke Awareness Month, and knowing the signs can save a life. 🧠🕒

When it comes to a stroke, every second counts. Remembering the F.A.S.T. acronym is the best way to act with certainty and protection:

F — Face: Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?
A — Arms: Ask them to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?
S — Speech: Ask them to repeat a simple phrase. Is their speech slurred or strange?
T — Time: If you see any of these signs, call 911 immediately.

By staying informed, we can provide hope and support for a healthier community.

Introduced in 1999 by Sen. John McCain and honored every May, Military Appreciation Month encourages Americans to reflect on the sacrifices made by soldiers, sailors, and all current and former military personnel. May is an appropriate month for a military remembrance, since the month also includes VE Day, which commemorates the end of World War II in Europe, and culminates in Memorial Day, observed on the last Monday of May to honor veterans who died in service.
