Egypt’s healthcare opportunity is not a blank page.

Egypt already has many important strengths: talented physicians, medical expertise, dedicated healthcare professionals, and a growing commitment to quality and innovation.

The opportunity is connection.

Connecting strategy with standards.
Connecting talent with advanced training.
Connecting healthcare with innovation.
Connecting Egyptian capability with international expertise.

The question is no longer only:

“What does Egypt need?”

A more powerful question is:

“What becomes possible when we recognize and connect the strengths Egypt already has?”

I believe the strongest opportunities do not always begin by creating something new from the beginning.

They begin by recognizing what already exists — and bringing the right people, knowledge, and relationships together.

As an Egyptian-American physician, this vision is personal. Egypt gave me my beginning, and my international journey has shown me the power of collaboration across borders.

As I return to Egypt this September, I look forward to conversations with physicians, healthcare leaders, educators, innovators, and those investing in the future of care.

What would make a family choose Egypt for the care of someone they love?

That is where my vision for Egypt as a destination for health and longevity begins.

The opportunity is to connect Egyptian medical expertise with international patient care and hospitality—so that choosing treatment, arriving, recovering, and returning home feel like one coordinated journey.

For patients and families, that means confidence, clarity, and trust throughout the experience.

For healthcare leaders, hospitals, and organizations, it creates an opportunity for collaboration: sharing expertise, building trusted referral relationships, and designing care experiences centered around patients and their families.

As an Egyptian-American physician, this vision is personal. Egypt gave me my beginning. I’m returning this September with medical experience, entrepreneurial perspective, international relationships, and a commitment to exploring what can be built through thoughtful collaboration.

I believe lasting partnerships begin with a shared purpose, a clear opportunity, and people prepared to work together.

I see real value in building relationships between Egyptian hospitals and physicians abroad: sharing knowledge, coordinating referrals, and supporting patients when they return home.

As an Egyptian-American physician, this vision is personal. Egypt gave me my beginning. My international experience has strengthened my belief in what we can build through thoughtful collaboration.

Egypt’s next great opportunity may not be another building.

It may be what happens inside it.

Healthcare and medical tourism have the potential to become more than services. They can become an economic ecosystem — attracting international patients, global expertise, strategic partnerships, investment, and new opportunities for Egypt.

Egypt already has powerful assets: exceptional medical talent, sophisticated private-sector leadership, world-renowned hospitality, geographic advantage, and a global Egyptian community with relationships, expertise, and capital.

The opportunity is to connect those assets — and scale them.

This September, I am opening a limited number of strategic conversations in Egypt with investors, developers, healthcare leaders, family offices, and decision-makers who think beyond individual projects and see platforms, industries, and economic ecosystems.

The question is not whether Egypt can participate in the global healthcare economy.

The question is how large a role Egypt chooses to play.

Egypt doesn’t need to prove its potential. It already has it. 🇪🇬

The real question is:

How do we turn that potential into global trust — and global trust into economic opportunity for Egypt?

After decades in medicine and healthcare in the United States and internationally, I see an extraordinary opportunity for Egypt to become a global destination for healthcare, longevity, and medical tourism.

Egypt already has many of the ingredients: exceptional physicians and healthcare professionals, expanding medical infrastructure, a strategic geographic location, world-renowned hospitality, and a destination the world already knows.

But becoming a global healthcare destination requires more than excellent facilities.

It requires quality the world can trust, an exceptional patient experience, international collaboration, strategic investment, and a vision that connects healthcare, tourism, hospitality, and economic development.

I am coming back to Egypt not to tell Egypt what to do.

I am coming to listen, collaborate, and bring together people with the vision, expertise, influence, and investment capacity to help turn an extraordinary opportunity into reality.

Some of the most important decisions begin when the room gets quiet.

After decades in medicine, leadership, and working across institutions and countries, I’ve learned that clarity rarely comes from talking more. Sometimes it comes from listening better.

As I prepare to return to Egypt, I’m thinking less about what I want to say — and more about what I need to understand from the physicians, leaders, innovators, and institutions already shaping its future.

Egypt already has extraordinary talent and deep medical experience.

The opportunity is to listen carefully to where those strengths can connect even more powerfully with innovation, prevention, precision medicine, education, and international collaboration.

I left Egypt many years ago. But I never stopped carrying Egypt with me.

The countries, institutions, and people I encountered abroad expanded my experience and changed the way I see medicine, leadership, and what becomes possible when the right people work together.

But experience only becomes meaningful when it serves a purpose.

As I prepare to return to Egypt, I am thinking less about coming back to where my journey started—and more about what could happen when Egyptian talent, international experience, and a shared commitment to better healthcare meet again.

Egypt shaped who I am. The world expanded what I could become.

My journey has taken me across countries, institutions, disciplines, and cultures—but distance never changed where my roots are.

Egypt gave me identity, resilience, and a deep respect for the human side of medicine. The world gave me experience, perspective, and relationships that expanded what I believed was possible.

Today, I don’t see those two parts of my life as separate.

I belong to both—and I believe some of the strongest bridges are built by people who understand both worlds.

As I prepare to return to Egypt, that is the perspective I am bringing home.
