If dieting hasn’t already worked for you after all the decades you’ve been doing it, it’s probably not going to start working now. 🤷‍♀️

And that’s not a “you” problem. It’s a problem with the entire strategy of dieting. Because it goes AGAINST your biology.

You can only fight your biology for so long…eventually biology will win.

That’s why I teach my clients to get off the dieting rollercoaster, and to work WITH their bodies instead.

When you learn how to effectively do this, you’ll be able to enjoy food, stop worrying about calories, and maintain a stable weight that’s right for YOUR body without having to micromanage it.

And when you’re ready to get off the dieting rollercoaster, and heal your metabolism AND your relationship with food…that’s when you hire me. 💃🙌

Your WORTH is not based on your WEIGHT.

The fact that most of us have believed that it is is one of the most detrimental lies we’ve ever been told.

Looking back, I’ve done a lot of things in my life that I could be proud of. And when I was a teenager, the thing I was MOST proud of (and openly praised for) was losing weight.

This reinforced the belief in my brain that I was “better” and more worthy as a person when my weight was lower…

And the unspoken flip side that I was “worse” and unworthy when my weight was higher.

From there I was totally hooked into the diet mentality. Food was good/bad and I was good/bad based on what I ate.

Now that I’ve healed my relationship with food, it breaks my heart that I used to see myself this way. 💔

But I’m grateful for the journey, because it brought me here to this work that I get to do every day with my clients who are the most incredible humans from across the world.

And together we are now dismantling diet culture one person at a time. The ripple effect is INCREDIBLE. 👏

What’s one thing you’re proud of yourself for that has nothing to do with your weight? 👇

There might be some reputable chiros out there, but the massive quantity of them who are quacks with an ego pretending they have the skills and training of a real medical doctor gives the whole profession a bad name.

The amount of clients I’ve seen who were given fake diagnoses like “adrenal fatigue” or “leaky gut” and sold $$$ unregulated supplements that the chiropractor personally profited off of would blow your mind.

I had a friend who received a manual adjustment that cracked her ribs because he didn’t know she had osteoporosis - because he didn’t get a proper H&P.

I know a cardiothoracic surgeon who has operated on numerous people who were severely injured by chiropractic adjustments.

The other day I saw on this app a video from a chiropractor claiming he can cure autoimmune diseases with the supplements he sells. 🤡

I get that your back or hip adjustment feels good. I used to go to a chiropractor for this myself. I stopped going after I saw too many clients who were scammed and harmed by chiropractics care.

My suggestion: Think twice before you set foot in a chiropractor’s office again.

If you've been thinking about cutting back on carbs or tracking your food to lose weight for summer...think again, because that's not going to work out the way that you hope it will.

You want to feel more confident in your body so that when you put on a pair of shorts or your swimsuit you aren't paranoid about what everyone is thinking of your cellulite.

You want less pain in your knees, hips and back.

You want to pose for a vacation photo and be proud to post it on FB or IG for your friends and family to see.

BUT...

You currently hate your body. You're too ashamed to wear a swimsuit or post a photo of yourself in shorts. (Heaven forbid someone see your flabby arms - gasp! 😱)

So your brain starts problem-solving and tells you that you need to "be good" with food and start doing dieting behaviors again before summer. (You're not *technically * going to diet...you already know that doesn't work...you're just going to try and "lose weight the healthy way.")

YES, I SEE YOU. 👀

This isn't going to actually help you, and we both know it's not going to stick - because it never does.

Here's what you need to do instead: You need to break free from the grip...the CHOKEHOLD...that diet culture has on you.

🎙️🎧 In my free 3-part podcast series, I'll show you exactly how to do this. You'll discover:

✅ How diet culture keeps you hooked, and how to let go
✅ The hidden ways diet culture still sneakily controls your every move
✅ My simple strategy to rebuild trust with your body through intentional eating
✅ Real life client examples of what it takes to break free from diet culture

Comment or DM me "GRIP" and I'll send you the link to binge these 3 incredible episodes asap so that you can cruise into this summer feeling comfortable and confident with your eating and your body image WITHOUT dieting. 🔥😎🏖️👙

Basically, we need to rewire your brain to think differently about your approach so it doesn’t feel like you’re “on/off” the bandwagon.

Your eating should look more or less the same day to day. Sure, social events and special occasions might look different, but that doesn’t mean your whole weekend needs to be a “cheat day.”

In fact, let’s remove the word “cheat” from your vocabulary as it relates to food.

Follow for more on how to heal your relationship with food while also getting healthier. Enough already with this yo-yo dieting nonsense.

If dieting was going to make you permanently happier, healthier and skinnier it would have already.

It’s time to get off that rollercoaster ride and learn how to work WITH your body rather than fight against it.

Stop shrinking your life chasing a lower number on the scale. Nutrition and exercise can be self-care rather than self-punishment when you approach it with the intuitive eating framework.

Drop your Q’s about it below!! ⬇️

I have no problem fear mongering you about this. 🫡

The internet cannot GET OVER their obsession with calories and weight. To the extent that we can't even have a rational conversation about why this obsession is harmful without someone screaming at me about ~oBeSiTy~ and how it's allegedly necessary for people to obsess about this...despite the fact that the science shows quite the opposite.

If obsessing about calories in/calories out and doing every diet under the sun was an effective long-term strategy, then GLP-1 medications wouldn't even exist.

Weight and health are 1) not the same thing; and 2) both VERY complex and can't be reduced to a math equation that my 1st grader could do.

I'll fear monger you about this all day long - because I've seen the depths of hell that it takes people to and I don't want that for you.

You CAN be healthy WITHOUT obsessing over calories or weight.

Enough already. 💖

And YES, I do understand ~ThErMoDyNaMicS~

If CI/CO worked then we wouldn’t have GLP-1 medications. Everybody who dieted would have lost the weight and kept it off already.

Weight regulation is so much more complicated metabolic process impacted by a LOT of things beyond the calories in your food or what you burn via exercise.

Instead of obsessing over how many calories you are or burned, I recommend getting in tune with what your body is actually telling you with internally regulated signals.

When you do that, along with intentionally supporting your metabolism with nutrition and movement, then your body will find a weight it is most comfortable at without you micromanaging it or dedicating your entire life to thinking about calories. 😵‍💫

She now eats chocolate routinely, when she wants it. But it's not even everyday.

When she buys her husband his favorite chocolate, she doesn't have the desire to eat it because it's not the type of chocolate she enjoys.

THIS is food freedom. And it's possible for you too. 💯

Making peace with foods that you feel addicted to doesn't happen by avoiding them, and it doesn't happen by having a free-for-all with them.

It happens when you have the right structure, strategies and mindset coaching with it. If that's what you're needing right now, I'll see you in my DMs. 😘

Don’t let the “revenge eating” phase derail your intuitive eating process. 🥞🍔🍟🍕🧁🍰🍪🍩🍭

While it’s normal for this to happen to a certain extent, we obviously don’t want it to continue because it can harm your health.

If you are rebelling with food and eating all of the foods that were forbidden when you were dieting, tune into this week episode of my podcast Rebuilding Trust With Your Body, because I’m going to show you how to break out of the cycle in 4 simple steps.

Comment or DM me “240” and I’ll send you the link to listen! 🎧

You're not morally obligated to exercise, but I'd be doing you a disservice if I didn't push you to have a healthy relationship with movement. 🤸‍♂️🏋🧘

So many women who have yo-yo dieted their whole lives have paired exercise with dieting and weight loss in their mind...

And thus when they ditch dieting to do intuitive eating, they ditch exercise along with it.

This is totally understandable - and it's something we need to look at. 👀

There are a million reasons to move your body that have nothing to do with burning calories and losing weight. Truth be told, these other reasons are far more important (and effective) than exercising for weight loss.

Whether you're "addicted" to exercise or you're completely avoiding it....you can find the middle ground where you are moving your body for self-care, not self-punishment.

How do you feel about exercise currently? 💭👇
