Most women don’t need more motivation. They need nervous system regulation.

You’re tired because you’re pushing a car with no gas in the tank. If you’re constantly operating from a state of survival, "discipline" and "hustle" aren't going to fix your burnout—they’re just going to dig the hole deeper.

Before you add one more thing to your to-do list, you have to stabilize the system running the list.

I’m teaching you how to move from burnout to sustainable high-performance—using nervous system regulation, not just willpower—in my upcoming live webinar.

Tap the link below to save your seat. Let’s actually fix the foundation. 🧠✨

Your calendar is stacked,

another task lands in your inbox,

and your jaw is already clenched.

That tightness? It’s not a personal failure. It’s your nervous system hitting a limit.

But what's the fix when you're in the moment of feeling totally stressed out?

All you have to do is recognize it and take action to slow down for just a few minutes...

Instead of spiraling or pushing through like you normally would

𝗧𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝟯-𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸-𝗜𝗻:

1️⃣ Locate, don’t label.
Before you decide, “I’m anxious,” “I’m overwhelmed,” or “I can’t handle this,” pause and find where the signal is showing up in your body.

Is it your jaw?
Your shoulders?
Your chest?
Your stomach?

You don’t have to explain it yet. Just notice where your body is speaking.

2️⃣ Lengthen your exhale.
Take a gentle breath in, then make your exhale longer than your inhale.

Try breathing in for 3 or 4 counts, then out for 5 or 6.

Do this a few times.

Longer exhales help cue your body toward safety, which can begin to soften the stress response.

You’re not forcing yourself to calm down.
You’re giving your nervous system a different signal.

3️⃣ Ask: What do I need right now?

Not what does everyone else need.
Not what would the most productive version of me do.

Ask your body:

Do I need water?
Do I need to unclench my jaw?
Do I need to step outside for one minute?
Do I need to write the next task down instead of holding it in my head?

Then choose one small action.

That’s the micro-break.

Not a full reset.
Just a moment of reconnection.

Your nervous system will thank you when you practice this consistently — especially in the moments when you usually push through.

Your nervous system will thank you if you do this 3-minute practice every time!

Starting with the best part? You don’t need a one-size-fits-all wellness product to start regulating your nervous system.

"I feel like I am doing all the “right” things, but I'm still running on fumes."

📉I hear this every day from my patients.

You have the meditation app.
The daily 30-minute gym streak.
The supplements.
The carefully curated morning routine.

And yet, your nervous system still feels like it’s stuck in survival mode.

Here’s the part most wellness trends miss:

When your system is already overwhelmed, adding more “healthy” tasks can still feel like pressure.

And pressure is still pressure.

Even meditation, workouts, breathwork, or supplements can backfire when they become another way to perform, perfect, or push through.

Your nervous system doesn’t regulate because you checked another wellness box.

It begins to regulate when your body feels safe enough to soften.

That’s why I teach my clients a different approach — simple, body-based micro breaks that take less than 5 minutes and help you start shifting out of survival mode without adding more to your plate.

You don’t need more tasks.

You need a rhythm your body can actually respond to.

When Crystal first came in, she was looking for a reset. Stress had built up, bringing anxiety, acid reflux, and that feeling of being “off” in her own body.

From the very first session, she started noticing shifts—steadier days, fewer flare-ups, and the release of emotions she didn’t even realize she was holding on to.

✨ “Dr. Holly is amazing—you’re instantly greeted with a calm yet joyful spirit… I could consistently see improvement.” – Crystal PJ

It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do—helping patients feel better not just physically, but emotionally too. And yes, the warm eye mask and relaxing music are always part of the experience.

📅 If you’ve been craving a reset, I’d love to help you find your own path to healing:

I didn't create Sjökort because people needed more wellness information.

Most of the people I meet already know a lot.

They know stress impacts their health.
They know they should rest more.
They know they need better boundaries, more support, and more time for themselves.

The problem isn't awareness.

The problem is that no one ever taught them how to integrate that knowledge into real life.

After more than a decade in practice, I kept seeing the same pattern.

Brilliant, capable, thoughtful people doing everything "right" and still feeling exhausted, disconnected, or stuck.

Not because they were failing.

Because they were trying to force healing through the same mindset that created the overwhelm in the first place.

That's why I built Sjökort.

A place where health isn't another task on your to-do list.

A place where we stop chasing symptoms and start listening to rhythms.

A place where Traditional East Asian Medicine, behavioral change, and whole-person care come together to help you reconnect with your own wisdom.

Because healing isn't about becoming someone new.

It's about learning how to hear yourself again.

✨ Imagine if your wellness journey felt less like another responsibility and more like a relationship with yourself.

💛 If you've ever thought, "There has to be a better way than this," you're exactly why I do this work.

Cancer survivors, today and every day: you deserve health, wellness, and care that meets you exactly where you are. 🌿

There is so much “bounce back” language around recovery—and honestly, much of it is not nervous-system friendly.

Survivorship is not about proving how quickly you can return to normal. It is about learning what your body needs now.

That may look like rest.
Acupuncture.
Acupressure.
Breathwork.
Gentle movement.
Emotional support.
Or a whole-person care plan that honors the season you are actually in.

On National Cancer Survivors Day, let’s retire the idea that healing has to be rushed.

You don’t have to wait until you feel fully healed to be worthy of wellness.

And if you are looking for support to find the best type of care for where you are right now, I'd love to support you: www.Sjokort.com

Being a survivor does not mean your nervous system automatically knows the danger has passed. 🌿

For many cancer survivors, the “hidden burnout” shows up long after treatment: fatigue, sleep changes, tension, emotional overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from the body.

This is not failure.
This is your body asking for care.

On National Cancer Survivors Day, let this be your reminder: you don’t have to wait until you feel fully healed to be worthy of wellness.

June has a funny way of creating pressure.

The days are longer.
The weather is better.
Vacations are on the calendar.

And yet many people tell me they're feeling just as overwhelmed—if not more.

Why?

Because we often carry the same pace into a new season and expect a different result.

Most of us were raised to believe that our value comes from how much we accomplish. The more productive we are, the more successful we must be.

But living that way creates a nervous system that never truly shifts gears.

The result?

• Constant mental load
• Tension you don't even realize you're carrying
• Difficulty being present, even during the moments you've been looking forward to

One of my favorite ways to interrupt this pattern is something I call The 30% Rule.

Before moving into your next task, conversation, or commitment, ask yourself:

What would it look like to do this with 30% less force?

Not less care.
Not less intention.

Just less pushing.

Maybe it's softening your shoulders before opening your laptop.

Maybe it's taking one full breath before answering the next email.

Maybe it's allowing yourself to enjoy your evening walk without turning it into another thing to optimize.

Because wellness isn't just about recovery.

It's about learning how to move through life in a way that your nervous system can actually sustain.

This month, instead of asking:

"How can I get more done?"

Try asking:

"How can I bring 30% more ease into this moment?"

You might be surprised by what changes.

Most leaders manage their companies better than they manage their nervous systems.

We monitor KPIs.
We forecast risk.
We prevent collapse.

Yet when it comes to our health, we often wait for symptoms to force intervention.

Here's the shift:

You are the CEO of your life.
And that includes your physiology.

Hormonal disruption.
Chronic stress.
Sleep fragmentation.
Burnout cycles.

These aren't random events. They're signals from a system asking for leadership.

And leadership starts with awareness.

Try this today:

Before your next meeting, email, or task, pause for 30 seconds and ask yourself:

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙮 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬? ⤵️

Are your shoulders tense?
Is your breathing shallow?
Are you rushing before you've even begun?

Then take one slow breath and soften one area of tension.

That's it.

Small moments of regulation create powerful shifts over time.

Health is not crisis management.
It is infrastructure.

In a recent blog post, I unpack how Traditional East Asian Medicine reframes health as proactive regulation rather than reactive treatment.

If you're leading a team, a company, or a household — this perspective matters.

Integration doesn’t happen through more information.
It happens through layering change in the right order. 👇

Get started with my free Micro-Break Guide… the first step toward finding your rhythm, calming your nervous system, and creating more ease in your day.

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make with their health is trying to change everything at once.

More supplements.
More routines.
More tracking.
More pressure.

But the most effective way to create real, lasting change is actually much simpler:

You layer it.

For most people, sustainable change looks like this:
1. Regulate first
Your body needs enough safety and stability to respond.
2. Identify the pattern
Ask: what is happening across your systems?
3. Start with the highest-leverage shift
One meaningful change that opens space in the whole system.
4. Build rhythm, not perfection
If your plan only works in an ideal week, it isn’t integrated yet.
Real healing has to fit inside your actual life.
5. Repeat and refine
This is where self-trust is built—through listening, adjusting, and evolving support.

This is why awareness alone doesn’t create transformation.

The real shift happens when insight becomes something your body, schedule, and life can actually hold.

That’s where change becomes sustainable. 🌿
