Team Alli Alli is an adult non-verbal social butterfly with Autism, who is active within the Special Needs community & attends other events regularly.

The purpose of this page is to share those experiences with the people who love her & introduce her to others. Allison is on the ASD spectrum. She is non-verbal and does require 24/7 personal support care. She works with a variety of women of all different ages, who are all working toward a common goal - Allison's Happiness & a Better Quality of Life. Although she does always have a staff member b

y her side, she is incredibly independent in many ways. She helps out with daily living skills and chores and is so proud of herself when she receives praise for completing a task. We are always encouraging her to try new things. Allison loves loud music of all genres and dancing to it, but a few of her favorites are Scotty McCreary, Russel Dickerson & 5 Seconds of Summer. She enjoys being out in the community so she can meet and interact with new people. She is incredibly social and loves to "people watch". She especially loves attending LaCrosse Special Olympics/Recreation Events and Parties! It's so neat to see her with all of her peers and witness the pure joy that emits from her. It truly is a heart-melting experience, as a staff member, to be with her during those events. The possibilities are truly endless with Alli because she is typically down for any sort of new adventure. The more time you spend with her, she really becomes more of a friend or family than a client.

91° wasn't gonna keep us locked in air-conditioning. Yesterday, Alli met up with some of her friends from Special Recreation for the bi-monthly Nature Walk through the marsh @ Myrick Park. We saw majestic trees that had to be hundreds of years old, lots of baby goslings swimming in a row behind their moms, and even a muskrat doing it's thing. After walking for an hour, Alli was definitely ready to be done.... a cold blast of air-conditioning in the car, immediately after, was much needed.

Hannah graduated with the highest honors, and we could not be more proud of everything she has accomplished. Her intelligence & work ethic are undeniable, but what truly makes Hannah special is the kind of person she is. She shows up every day with compassion, patience, dedication, and a genuine heart for others. In the last year, Hannah has become an important part of Team Alli. The love and care she gives to Allison never goes unnoticed, and the bond they share means the world to us. Even with such an exciting future ahead of her, Hannah has chosen to take a year off before Law School so she can continue working with Allison — which says everything about her character. She is the definition of a good human being, and we are so grateful to have her. We know she is going to do amazing things in this world and make an incredible attorney someday.
Congratulations, Hannah! We are cheering you on every step of the way. 💙⚖️✨

Darby's Dancers are ready for a spectacular show after their In-class dress rehearsal on Wednesday. Every one of them looked vibrant & beautiful in their best (my opinion) recital dresses they've worn in the last five years.

We want to send a special shout-out to Alli's Dance Buddy for the 2025-2026 season, Hazel! She was a perfect compliment to Allison's dancing style. 🥰 We are really sad to see her go, since she is a senior this year....

Take a look at the fifth picture - do you see how happy Alli is to be holding Mandy's hand? We all know Alli is a hand-holder. When Hazel walked away, so we could get a picture of just the dancers, Alli didn't know what to do. Then Mandy raised her hand up & Alli reached for it, giggled, and then held on to her chair. I am pretty sure all of the moms & caregivers said "Awwww" at the same time. It really was such a sweet moment. 🧡💙

What a great season! I am so proud of Alli and all of Darby's Dancers!
